Linda Porten
Treasurer
Linda Porten is a graduate of Hillcrest High School in Dallas and Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She served as a speech. Therapist in Pine Tree ISD in Longview, Language Arts teacher in Northside ISD in San Antonio and kindergarten teacher at San Antonio Christian School and retired in Montgomery ISD for a total of 29 years. She then served on the MISD school board for two terms. Currently, she still substitutes in Conroe ISD where her grandchildren attend, volunteers in different capacities, is a long term student mentor and an online student of Hillsdale College. She was recently appointed to fill a position on the April Sound Church board. She and her husband Jim enjoy 12 grandchildren and their busy parents!

Nate Robb
Board Member
Nate Robb was elected to the Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees in 2022, re-elected in 2025, and served as Board Vice President for the 2023–2024 school year. A lifelong Montgomery County resident, Nate grew up in The Woodlands and has lived in Montgomery with his wife, Karli, since 2007. They have three children, two Montgomery High School graduates and one currently at Montgomery Junior High. Nate owns a commercial construction company and a fiber optics company. He and Karli actively support MISD programs, and Nate has a strong passion for Ag-Science education. He previously served as President of the Montgomery High School FFA Booster Club and has volunteered with the MISD fishing team. He played a key role in planning The Den, MISD’s new Career and Technical Education and Agricultural Science facilities, and strongly supports expanding career pathways for students. Nate also served on the MISD Community Bond Task Force that developed the 2022 Bond. In his free time, Nate enjoys hunting, fishing, and supporting programs that help students build outdoor and real-world skills.

Matt Michell
Board Member
Matt Mitchell is a lifelong Houstonian and proud Texan. A 1993 Pearland High School graduate and former Baylor University baseball player (BBA ’98, Entrepreneurship), Matt learned early that grit, integrity, and keeping your word matter most. He and his wife have built a close-knit blended family of seven, with five children and grandchildren, and they enjoy time at their family ranch in Marquez, TX. As co-founder of The Mitchell Mortgage Team and Divorce Equity Solutions in Montgomery, Matt helps Texas families navigate home buying and divorce with a focus on protecting equity and cutting through red tape. He brings decades of entrepreneurial experience, from serving as VP/COO of a national healthcare firm to launching businesses in custom golf carts and eco-friendly moving solutions. Matt is a man of deep faith and strong convictions, with a long history of giving back. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Gatekeepers Committee and as an elected Precinct 30 official in the Montgomery County Republican Party. Matt is committed to treating your home, finances, and family as if they were his own.

Mark H. Wilkerson
Board Member
Mark H. Wilkerson, M.D., is a native of Conroe. With degrees from Texas A & M University and Southwestern Medical School, he practices ophthalmology in Montgomery County. He has a long interest in local and national politics and served as a Republican Party precinct chair for many years. He and his wife Karen have two grown children and two grandchildren. They are members of The Woodlands Methodist Church and have resided in The Woodlands for 35 years.
